I know exactly what you mean!
I just nailed down three new semi-pro models to work with and I think that will be one of my concepts. Just gotta figure out how to communicate it effectively.

one fantastic manip - i love how the lighting donwn the guys face relaly appears to be coming from the light burst! Very emotive. Even the colour of the eye matches. Fantastic! :D
